06 Feb Drawing Mandalas: reflections on the first course
I was so inspired by the beautiful, detailed, creative, intuitive mandalas that the members of the first Drawing Mandalas course created. Each week we made a new mandala template using geometry, then embellished it with Zentangle patterns and in the last week brought in colour. Here are some of the comments of the participants and some examples of the beautiful mandalas that were created. Do contact me if you’d like to join a future course.
I highly recommend Louise’s classes for anyone interested in the wonderful world of mandalas, or who just wants to carve out some nurturing space in which to relax, let go and have fun with no pressure to create a masterpiece…although after Louise’s soothing mindfulness meditations to ease the critical mind, don’t be surprised if it happens spontaneously!! The classes are really relaxed, friendly and I left feeling utterly inspired. Can’t wait to attend more! Emma
Louise created a lovely relaxed atmosphere in which we learnt to draw complex geometrical mandala designs and patterns. In just 4 weeks we all produced some lovely work – it was a fascinating and enjoyable to experience. Kate
Louise is a patient, joyful and mindful guide in the creations of mandalas….from the technical drawing of the template through the use of Zentangle patterns and colour to complete the mandala. Though we are all working with the same form, the same tools and the same patterns, each mandala is as unique as the person who brought it to life. We are united in our individuality! Felice
I really enjoyed the course and Louise’s clear, easy to follow guidance in making and decorating the patterns. Look forward to the next sessions. Patricia
