Abstract Avenues

Over this short 5 week course, we’ll look at different ways of creating abstract work. All art, even very representational art, has abstract qualities within the composition of colour, shape, gesture, tone, texture, movement and form. We’ll explore different starting points & processes – mark-making & movement, music, nature (the garden), and working within a structure, system or set of parameters ie a grid, a series of instructions. There are numerous abstract artists out there to inspire us too!

All participants need to join LADVAA membership which costs £10 this term and is renewable in September.
