Hand Drawn

Drawing is such a delightful, visceral, immediate response to the outer or inner world. I particularly love working with charcoal as you can push and pull it, smudge, dab, stipple, stroke, strike the page with fat tree sticks or delicate thin sticks or spray it with charcoal dust. Collage is my other favourite drawing process, cutting or tearing different papers or old prints & drawings, seeing unexpected layers & combinations of shapes, colours and textures before sticking them down.
